About Us

What You Do Matters is a project of the Healthy Maine Partnerships serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Aroostook counties, including:

Healthy Maine Partnerships are part of a statewide system of public health organizations that bring people and resources together to effectively and efficiently improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Much of our work is through education and awareness as well as policy and environmental change in five areas: physical activity, nutrition, tobacco, substance abuse, and chronic disease.

There are 28 Healthy Maine Partnerships statewide, all funded through the Fund for a Healthy Maine, a grant from the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a division of the Department of the Maine Health and Human Services and the Maine Office of Substance Abuse.

Our thanks to Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) who originally funded this project through a Chronic Care Technology Implementation Project grant to The Aroostook Medical Center (TAMC).  Further thanks go to project partners, Maine Network for Health and Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems.
